MA Printmaking (part-time)
It is known that printmaking includes many ways of image production with myriads of potentials. The application of the printed images to a ceramic surface gives it a completely different quality. Printed images may be applied onto clay at different stages and the results are very often unpredictable and exciting.
I have been studying and experimenting with printmaking on flat and 3D ceramic objects. I used different methods: underglaze printing, sgraffito, decal, screen-print transfers , non fired print application and others. I have been experimenting with methods and materials.
As an artist I am attracted to human psychology.
Objects of my art are the human body, abstract forms.
I use images produced from my photos and drawings. The images are processed in Photoshop and, in the case of laser-cut stencil images manipulated using Illustration program.
I have learned a lot about printmaking and ceramic processes and look forward to studying further printmaking on ceramics.
